A new international artistic gymnastics tournament, focused on the young talents of the most beautiful sport, is coming up at Thessaloniki: The 1st “Horizon Cup”, which will be held from November 9th to 11th, is planned to be most successful, as the Organizing Committee is doing its best in order to guarantee top quality services, excellent facilities and total support to all participating clubs and delegations.

The pre-registration for the event has already started through the event’s bilingual website www.horizon-cup.gr, which provides a complete electronic registration system, including sign-up, provisional registration, nominative registration, accommodation forms, transport requests and everything else should the interested clubs need to know ahead of the competition.

Boys born from 2004 to 2006 and girls born from 2005 to 2007 are invited to participate in the “Horizon Cup 2018”. Registration will be open until October 1st, 2018.

“Horizon Cup” is the first international Artistic Gymnastics tournament which is held in Greece tailor-made for the next generation gymnasts, who are aiming to broaden their horizon and compete in a unique competition venue, with all apparatuses set on podium:

“Ioannis Melissanidis” Sports Hall is renowned as one of the best artistic gymnastics training centers in Europe, and has been chosen by many national teams for training camps.
In fact, the WAG teams of Ukraine, both Seniors and Juniors, are the most recent visitors, as they are having a preparation camp from August 20th to 28th at the same sports hall where “Horizon Cup” will be held.

“Horizon Cup will be much more than an artistic gymnastics international tournament. This event will be the first-ever of this scale which will be held in Greece and will be focused on the younger gymnasts. We are confident that clubs and gymnasts from abroad and from all over Greece will honor us with their presence and will enjoy a special competition. We are waiting all our friends in Thessaloniki and we promise to give our best to all teams and delegations”, quoted the Technical Director of the event, mr. Dimitris Giannoulidis.

“Horizon Cup” is organized by AESGVE (Athletic Gymnastics Clubs Union of Northern Hellas), with the support of the Hellenic Gymnastics Federation and the Central Macedonia Region.
